About Muskhane

"Muskhane means smile in Nepalese, and it is the warmth of the Himalayan people and the beauty of their work that have inspired Thierry and Valerie Billot to share their discoveries with the world." Quoted from Muskhane.
Juniper has carried Muskhane for a few years and it quickly became a favorite. The stylish but simple silhouettes in basic and bold colors are what drew us to the line as did their whimsical home items. The cashmere is so soft and the felt items so fun we can't help but smile! Their shop in Paris, very near the Dominique Picquier shop, has colorful and festive window displays which caught our eye. Working with designers who pay fairly and create responsibly is important to Juniper. We were thrilled to learn that Muskhane is a socially responsible company. They invest in the artisans they work with and the community they share as well as the wider world around them. Pieces from their S/S '13 home and fashion collections are below!

About Two

Two is a small collection of effortlessly chic pieces made in Brooklyn, NY. The designer, Monica Patel-Cohn, was inspired by her Indian and Italian background to create her own designs using handmade Indian textiles. After visiting Monica in her DUMBO studio last Fall we quickly joined the fans of her easy to wear stylish caftans, tunics and dresses. Two pieces are one size and fit most shapes easily. They are perfect for a sunny beach getaway!

About Dominique Picquier

Dominique Picquier has been a staple of Juniper since opening our doors in 2007. This very special French line of bags and accessories has a loyal international following. People often discover her shop in Paris' historic district Le Marais and are captivated by the understated sophistication and functionality of her designs. When I found the shop I felt like I found a treasure and am proud to be one of the few shops in the U.S. stocking the line. Dominique Picquier was born on the island of Madagascar, raised in France and studied textile and graphic design at the Ecole National des Arts Decoratifs in Paris where she has lived since. Her prints are inspired by nature, featuring flowers, plants and leaves. The fabric and bags are made in France and are designed to last in construction and style. Dominique Picquier continues to be a Juniper favorite!
